Choose your stretch of the harbour

The Harbourside covers more than one cluster of bars and restaurants. Visit Bristol’s area guide is useful for understanding the waterside options, but check the route between your chosen stops. A venue on the other side of the Floating Harbour can be less convenient than its straight-line distance suggests. Pick one main destination and plan food or drinks around it.

A gig and a club are different plans

Thekla is a ship-based venue with both live performances and club nights. Look at the event type and date before treating it as the final stop of an open-ended bar crawl. The other profiles below broaden the search around the waterfront and adjoining areas. Their original listings remain the place to confirm the programme and availability.

Allow time to move between stops

If you book a meal before a ticketed event, allow time for the walk, queue and any last-entry condition. Check the exact entrance and practical access information, especially for venues in unusual buildings or on the water. Do not assume that an outdoor terrace, bar or restaurant has the same hours as the music venue you plan to visit later.
