Cirrina Sessions with Tim Reaper & i-sha

Cirrina Sessions bring Tim Reaper to The Island for something rare: a full techno and 140 set from a DJ best known for jungle.

Tim Reaper runs the Future Retro label and has been one of the leading figures in the modern jungle revival, and has won acclaim from labels including Hyperdub. The hosts say he has hinted at his techno and 140 side but never gone all out on it until now.

i-sha, a resident of Accidental Meetings, plays fractured electronics and sub-heavy, abrasive sets built on negative space and pressure. She has radio shows on Noods and Mutant and curates for The Secret Shade.

Cirrina residents Fez the Kid and Casino Flats play back to back, this time in a hypnotic, downtempo mood.

The sound is by Amber Audio on a d&b audiotechnik rig, with lighting by Occyx. The Island is in the old Bridewell police cells and is not wheelchair accessible; contact @cirrinasessions with access questions. 10:30pm–4am. 18+.
