Document presents Moodymann

Detroit house legend Moodymann makes his Document debut on Halloween night.

Kenny Dixon Jr., aka Moodymann, is one of Detroit's most enigmatic and successful house producers. His records blend samples and live instrumentation, and are drenched in soul, funk and jazz, which sets them apart from typical house. As a DJ he is known for playing exactly what he likes, so expect a set that moves well beyond four-to-the-floor.

More artists were still to be announced at the time of writing.

Document is the former records storage warehouse on Pennywell Road, behind Cabot Circus, that the team behind Motion opened in 2023. The building has studios and workspaces, plus a 3,000-capacity events space, and all areas are wheelchair accessible.

The night runs 11pm to 3am, with last entry at 1am. It is strictly 18+: you need valid physical ID (driving licence or passport), photos of ID are not accepted, and searches are a condition of entry.
