Alfresco Disco's Surrealist Ball returns for Halloween 2026, taking its cue from the famous Salvador Dalí-designed parties of the 1970s.

The dress code is the point. The organisers ask you to make your outfit different, disturbing and bizarre, so this is a night for melting clocks, lobster telephones and anything else from the surrealist playbook rather than a shop-bought costume.

Alfresco Disco is one of Bristol's longest-running party brands, known for disco and house in unusual spaces. Over the years it has thrown parties in trampoline parks, railway tunnels, a vast car park beneath The Galleries shopping centre and even, once, Weston pier. This year's ball is at Flat Earth, and more details were still to come at the time of writing, so check the listing for the line-up and exact location.

It starts early, at 6pm, and runs until 3am, with last entry at 9pm. 18+.
