Exchange

Exchange is an independent live music venue and nightclub on Old Market Street, next to the Stag & Hounds and a short walk from Cabot Circus and Castle Park. It opened in late summer 2012, from the team behind The Croft.
It has ticketed events most nights of the week. Headfirst rates its programming for heavier bands, such as post-rock, math rock and psych, as unrivalled in Bristol, but the calendar also covers indie, emo, synthwave and a wide range of club nights.
The venue is spread over more than one floor, with the larger stage upstairs. It has a total capacity of around 500: the ground floor holds about 280 and the basement about 110, and both have a full High Pressure sound system. That lets club promoters run two rooms at once, while all-dayers can run bands back to back.
Doors for gigs are usually 7:30pm, while club night times vary. This week it hosts OPENHAUS with James Nash on 24 October and the So Fetch 2000s Halloween party on 30 October.
