Brockout — Bristol club night promoter

Brockout is a techno party known for underground techno, electro and acid, and for bringing DJs with serious reputations into intimate Bristol rooms.

Its residents include Ms Ogyny and Rhythm Session, who open its nights. Brockout's flyers describe its parties in playful, mystical terms, and the crowd is there to dance hard: the dress code for its Halloween show is "dress to sweat".

On 30 October Brockout teams up with Glasgow's Posh End at Lost Horizon. Dublin's Sunil Sharpe headlines. He is known for fast, technical mixing, runs the Earwiggle label and has played Berghain, Fabric, Concrete and Sub Club. Jerome Hill, of Don't and Super Rhythm Trax, co-headlines, and Posh End's Fear-E plays back to back with Shadesy.

Tickets were £13 early bird, £15 first release and £17.50 second release. Lost Horizon holds about 350, so Brockout nights feel close and sweaty, which is exactly the point.
