Metalheadz

Metalheadz is one of the most important labels in drum and bass history. It was founded in 1994 by Goldie, Kemistry and Storm, and for more than three decades it has shaped the sound and culture of the genre while continuing to push it forward.

The label's roster and alumni read like a history of drum and bass, and its long-running club nights, including the famous Blue Note sessions, helped define what a drum and bass night could be.

Metalheadz has strong links with Bristol. In June 2026 Alternate and Lakota presented the first Bristol edition of its Blue Note sessions as a day party in the Lakota Gardens, with Photek, Dillinja, Doc Scott and Mako.

This Halloween the label takes over Clock Factory's Lightroom for an intimate session with Doc Scott, Loxy, J Majik, Submotive and Ryda, hosted by Medic MC and MC Bluejay. The Lightroom has 28 high-powered screens and a Void Acoustics system, making it one of the most immersive rooms in the city.
