The Jam Jar

The Jam Jar is a volunteer-led community arts space and live music venue in the Old Malt House on Little Ann Street, St Jude's. It is known for independent live music and hosts artists from all over the world.
Headfirst describes it as a shining beacon for authentic artists, with boundary-pushing gigs and sweaty club nights from more corners of the globe than anywhere else in the city: cumbia to ska, folk to salsa, afro-rap to acid techno.
The Jam Jar says it pays its staff and artists fairly and tries to stock local and ethical products, aiming to maximise its impact on culture while minimising its impact on the planet.
The team behind it also runs Sawmills, the huge temporary warehouse venue on Eugene Street, and The Underground.
Recent and upcoming listings include Bristol djembe players Foli, a Hotwax takeover with Nathan Worm, Miss Mash and Prez Pete, Babyhead's Saturday show, Ten2One with Jah Massagan, and Brownswood artist Bel Cobain, whose show sold out. Expect something different every night.
