The Boxing Gym

The Boxing Gym is a versatile mid-sized venue with a sound system focus, at the Riverside Youth Project on Clement Street in BS2.

By day it is a fitness centre and youth community space. For one weekend each month it turns into an underground club, spreading across four rooms and a 1,200-capacity outdoor area.

It specialises in drum and bass, jungle, house, techno, disco and dub, and hosts local favourites including AnExperience's Proper Jungle Night and Rave On Avon.

The current run of events includes The UnUsual Suspects' Halloween Weekender, AnExperience presents A Proper Jungle Night across five rooms on 6 November, Adam F's Circles Revisited tour, The Boxing Gym's Big House Party, and Taktikal's 30th birthday bash celebrating six years of Exodus Records.

If you like your raves with proper sound and a community feel rather than a polished superclub, this is one of the best-kept secrets in the city.
